Strawberries and Cream Protein Smoothie

I have made this three days in a row, it’s that good. I was craving a strawberries and cream something the other day, and this hit the spot. The fresh tangerine juice really makes this smoothie, and it’s quick and easy to make.

For the Tangerine Juice
  1. 3 tangerines, peeled (remove seeds)
  2. 1 cup of cold water
For the Smoothies
  1. Your fresh tangerine juice
  2. 2 scoops of your favorite vanilla protein powder (we use a natural one, free of artificial colors, sweeteners, flavors)
  3. 1/4 cup unsweetened vanilla almond milk (or coconut milk)
  4. 2 dates (or one packet of stevia)
  5. 6-7 whole frozen strawberries
For the Tangerine Juice
  1. Peel your tangerines, break them into fourths, and put them in the blender with one cup of water.
  2. Blend on high for 20 seconds.
  3. Pour the mixture into a nut milk bag (this is what I use) and squeeze the juice out into a large bowl. If you don't have a nut milk bag, you can use a cheesecloth over a mesh strainer placed over your bowl.
For the Smoothies
  1. Rinse your blender.
  2. Add the protein powder first, then the tangerine juice, then the rest of your ingredients.
  3. Blend on high for thirty seconds.
  4. Pour into glasses and enjoy!
Notes
  1. Remember, organic ingredients taste better!
